Summary:

The paper presents a brief history of the appearance of the term endophyte and discussion about these term, statistics of publications of Russian scientists from 2003 to 2022. For the first time described the history of the organization of the Ufa scientific school of endophytologists, which was founded by Professor Magdan Yanfaevitsh Menlikiev. The main results of research conducted at the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture and the Bashkir State Agrarian University and covering the interests of physiologists and biochemists of plants and animals, entomologists, as well as engineers to endophytic bacteria and preparations based on their cells and spores are presented.
