The impact of selenium biocomposites obtained from medicinal macrobasidiomycetes Ganoderma lucidum, Grifola umbellata, Laetiporus sulphureus, Lentinula edodes, and Pleurotus ostreatus on the viability of the phytopathogenic Gram-positive bacterium Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus (Spieck. et Kotth.) Skapt et Burkh (Cms) was studied. The impairment in bacterial cells viability resulted from their incubation with biocomposites was shown. The decisive role of composites' selenium component on the biological activity under question was established. The dependence of antimicrobial effect of selenium-containing specimen on the mushroom's systematic position was revealed. The species-specific peculiarities of antibacterial effect exerted by biometal(II)-containing biocomposites were shown in comparison to the biopolymeric substances obtained with the same mushroom.
