Kok-saghyz (Taraxacum kok-saghyz Rodin) is an alternative source of natural rubber. However, the cultivation of kok-saghyz in the field is associated with a number of problems, some of which can be overcome by using hydroponics or aeroponics. This article is devoted to the description of the experimental work on testing methods for growing kok-saghyz in conditions of hydroponics and aeroponics using Murashige and Skoog medium (1/3 concentration), and 1% Hoagland and Arnon solution. On hydroponics, kok-saghyz grew better on the Murashige and Skoog medium. In the solution of Murashige and Skoog medium, short and massive roots formed, while long and thin roots grew in the Hoagland and Arnon solution. There were no significant differences in the parameters of root growth when grown on hydroponics and aeroponics. Thus, we have tested hydroponic and aeroponic methods of cultivation of kok-saghyz and it is shown that these methods can become an alternative to cultivating this plant in the fields.
