The effect of the probiotic Vetosporin based on spore-forming bacteria Bacillus subtilis on the honey bee physiological and biochemical status in health and against a background of immunodeficiency caused by the action of imidacloprid has been studied. It is shown that in the honeybee organism Vetosporin acts as an immunostimulant activating phagocytes and phenoloxidase and antioxidant systems enzymes, as well as increasing the level of gene expression of vitellogenin and abaecin. Vetosporin has an adaptogenic effect on the summer generation worker bees during the subsequent imidacloprid intoxication of insects.
