Цитоплазматическая мужская стерильность (ЦМС) типа 9Е сорго относится к числу типов мужской стерильности, у которых восстановление фертильности регулируется, наряду с генотипом, условиями внешней среды, а именно, влагообеспеченностью растений и влажностью воздуха накануне и в период цветения. Для исследования закономерностей генетического контроля и понимания механизмов эпигенетических процессов, регулирующих восстановление фертильности в данном типе ЦМС, важной задачей является идентификация генов-восстановителей (Rf-9E). Для решения данной задачи нами проведена работа по выявлению молекулярных маркеров, ассоциированных с генами Rf-9E, у растений популяции BC1[(9Е Пищевое 614 × 84/19) × Пищевое 614]. Всего в работе было испытано 55 SSR-маркеров, картирующих все 10 хромосом генома сорго. Обнаружено, что SSR-маркеры, локализованные на 2 хромосоме генома сорго, sam60498 (23911554 … 23913675 п.н.) и sam37585 (33055782 … 33056867 п.н.), демонстрируют значимую ассоциацию с восстановлением мужской фертильности в исследуемой популяции. Анализ in silico референсного генома сорго S. bicolor (BTx623) показал, что вблизи данной области, включающей более 9 млн. п.н., располагается область прицентромерного гетерохроматина, а также присутствуют два PPR-гена: 002G142700.1 и 002G144300.1: на позициях 23465796 … 23468350 и 23810047 … 23812824, соответственно. Учитывая, что подавляющее большинство клонированных генов Rfу разных видов растений, включая сорго, содержат последовательности PPR-генов, то выявленные нами SSR-маркеры действительно могут являться молекулярными маркерами генов-восстановителей ЦМС типа 9Е. Обсуждается гипотеза о связи локализации генов-восстановителей ЦМС 9Е вблизи гетерохроматина с «влагозависимым» характером экспрессии восстановления мужской фертильности в этом типе ЦМС.
